When Nashwauk Ambulance Service (NAS) decided to give EMS Manager a try in 2007, they didn't know that it would still play such a big role in their operations five years later. EMS Coordinator, Karen Calaguire, remembers needing "to find a way to make scheduling as easy and painless as possible for [her] employees." After a short demo of EMS Manager, Calaguire signed up the service and everyone was up and running within a month.
Nashwauk Ambulance Service is a paid volunteer service where members respond to calls from their home. Having their employee scheduling and workforce management online not only allows members to check the schedule and make requests from home or their smartphone, it eliminates the need to stop by the station or call Calaguire for schedule information. In addition to scheduling, NAS manages employee credentials, member communication and generate reports with their EMS Manager system.
